Forbo Flooring Systems were approached by Rail Museum -Bahnwelt Darmstadt-Kranichstien, run by a volunteers group based in Germany. The volunteers give up their free time to provide their expert knowledge, to help refurbish trains back to their former glory and run the museum.   

Forbo were asked to supply flooring for a 13.92m Wismar coach built in 1929 which required restoration. Taking great pleasure in being part of the project, Forbo supplied the Marmoleum flooring free of charge, to help restore the vintage coach which have had Linoleum flooring installed since their first restoration in 1956. The now restored coach is still used and is in operation fifteen to twenty days per year. The restored coach was built in 1929 by the German Reichsbahn and previously restored in 1956 by Deutsche Bahn.
