A unique collection of luxury carpet tiles that is IMO tested, approved and wheelmarked to Marine Equipment Directive (MED) and has the Lloyds Register-maritime classification.
Westbond FR is of low lusture, highly crimped and prized as having more bulk and resilience than most other wool carpets. Also, being easily maintained, repels surface spills and responds extremely well to cleaning. The 50x50cm carpet tiles, allows for spot replacements of tiles if a small area is damaged, whilst the quality of the tiles allows for a seamless joint. Another benefit of using carpet tiles onboard, allows for spares to be easily stored or sent out when in port.
Westbond FR tiles add a real comfort underfoot with insulation properties which reduce noise, heat loss and condensation, thus making it an ideal floor covering for cabins, bridges, staterooms, suites, stairs, lobbies and communal areas aboard any vessels/offshore application.
Now available in 157 colourways, thanks to the addition of 13 new natural references. But that’s not all, if you prefer you can create your own bespoke colourway we can match yarns to Pantone references to complement your interior design scheme. Design flexibility doesn’t end there as Westbond FR is also available as a `Flex` design – by mixing 2/3 or 4 different shades from the Westbond Colour collection, or from a custom colour of your choice, you can create your own custom designed Westbond Flex carpet tile to match your interiors perfectly. Click here to use our online Flex Creator and a pom will usually be dispatched within 48 hours, to help you visualise your unique design.
The new natural coloured references contain pure and natural undyed British wool. The range is the perfect answer to today’s ecological concerns, yet not compromising on quality, but giving a real luxury edge onboard any yacht, ferry, cruise liner and offshore facility.
The natural colours are derived from a blend of fleeces from seven different UK sheep breeds, Herwick, Swaledale, Shetland, The Derbyshire Gritstone, The Jacob, Dales Bred and Cheviot- resulting in a warm palette of taupes, creams beiges and umber, allowing for integration into any interior design theme.
