The design team for Forbo Flooring Systems’ Flotex have partnered with many famous designers over the years with great success to date, they have worked with number designers and created six flooring designs inspired by the famous Vincent van Gogh’s paintings. A tribute to Van Gogh, made possible by the unique characteristics of Flotex.
Further to this an exclusive design collaboration between Forbo and Sottsass Associati which was borne out of the desire to work with an innovative flooring technology and its precision HD printing brings to life the avant-guard designs that clearly carry the Sottsass signature. The result is four exquisite designs that demonstrate a depth of detail and vibrancy of colour never seen before.
The next collection saw Forbo implement new ideas, The Hemingway Design x Forbo Flooring collaboration plays with pattern & shape and sees existing Forbo product re-imagined creating strong, graphic patterns and geometrically stimulating designs.
Not stopping there, we teamed up with British design legend, Tibor on an exciting new range for Flotex. Pioneering textile designer Tibor Reich was a man ahead of his time. Although these striking patterns date from the 1950s, they could have been designed yesterday. Flotex provides the perfect medium for Tibor’s dynamic graphic designs. The cutting-edge technology of digital printing gives a new lease of life to his arresting patterns.
Forbo’s latest partnership is alongside the visionary Philippe Starck, in which we are both extremely proud to announce our highly innovative cooperation in creating a new collection of floor covering systems; FLOTEX BY STARCK.
