Rail Interiors Solutions (RIS) was established in 2010 when each of the five member companies (Andrew Muirhead & Son, Forbo Flooring Systems, Novograf, Replin and Transcal) found themselves working together on the prestigious Meridian 222 project for East Midlands Trains. The RIS group has been around for over four years now and have quietly been exhibiting a turnkey interior solutions package to the rail industry at rail specific exhibitions. The group have had success in working together on a variety of rail projects and believe that their unique ‘one-stop shop’ approach to the refurbishment of railway carriage interiors is an attractive, cost-effective proposition for both train operating companies and maintenance suppliers. Their recent meeting to further develop rail products specific to the group was held in Bridge of Weir, the home of Weir Leather Group and founding member of RIS.

On the agenda was a new installation solution from Forbo Flooring Systems for their range of saloon carpets and the further development of a light weight seating solution from Transcal.
