Every two years people travel from far and wide to meet with customers and suppliers alike in Lille at the French rail exhibition, Sifer. This particular exhibition is a great show for the Forbo Transport team and this year was no exception.

To get into the spirit of all things rail, we naturally traveled to Lille by Eurostar, the quickest and easiest way of travelling from the UK to France. International rail travel allows for some comfort and relaxation, and let’s not forget beautiful views like this:

The inspiration behind the stand was to focus on our value for sustainability. The Forbo Flooring Transport portfolio consists of floor coverings that are environmentally friendly and sustainable in order to reduce our carbon footprint. We are committed to creating better  rail environments and our products contribute towards making rail travel the most eco-friendly mode of transport.

On Tuesday 24th March the Sifer doors were opened to thousands of visitors and we were happy to see a lot of new and familiar faces.

There was lots of interest in our Flotex FR and Marmoleum FR products, due to their design and style capabilities, our wood style ranges were especially popular during the show.

Sifer 2015 was a great opportunity to meet with lots of different project managers and we’re looking forward to seeing lots of exciting projects in European rail come to life. Here’s to Sifer 2017.
